Welcome Bob Fulford – GEC’s new Vice President, Purchasing and Supply Management

Gloucester Engineering Co., Inc. (GEC) is pleased to announce that Bob Fulford has joined the company as Vice President, Purchasing and Supply Management. In this newly created position, he will be primarily responsible for strategic and tactical operations of Purchasing and Supply Management including partner selection, contact management, partner performance measurement and operational excellence of the supply chain at Gloucester Engineering and its affiliates.

Bob comes to GEC from Axsun Technologies, a leader in optoelectronics for the telecommunications industry, where he was the Director of Supply Chain Management. Bob’s multi-industry experience includes previous Purchasing and Supply Management roles with Agfa Corporation (Electronic Prepress Graphics Systems), Varian (Semiconductor Equipment), Raytheon (Data Systems), and Dresser/Masoneilan (Industrial Process Control).

He helped establish The New England Suppliers Institute, an innovative manufacturing service of the Corporation for Business, Work, and Learning to assist small and mid-size suppliers. He has served as an adjunct faculty instructor in the Materials Management curriculum for Northeastern University, as well as a seminar leader/lecturer for various organizations, including the Purchasing Management Association of Boston (PMAB). He holds CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) designations, and is a continuing member of the Institute for Supply Management and the American Production and Inventory Control Society.

Bob is a long-term resident of Manchester, MA, and is pleased to be part of the continuing development of GEC’s business and its contributions to the global plastics industry.
